Breeding Fatties

“Americans are now among the shortest and fattest people in the industrialized world.” This article attributes it to shortcomings in our healthcare system, but it’s not the system that’s feeding these fat fucks. Unless we have a Se7en scenario, these ppl are shovelling their pie-holes full’a crap voluntarily. (Source)

On the brighter side, according to the theory of assortative mating, fat people dig those of similar girth, so that fat fucks can get laid, married and so on. This leads to another point in this other article, about how fat begets fat - the double-dose of obesity genes are almost certain to dominate their offspring, thereby populating the world with fat ppl and the American epidemic of fat-asses. (Source)

Additionally, an agenda of “body diversity” is out there, encouraging children to accept themselves as they are, so as not to engage in “looksism - the tendency to perceive social acceptability based upon how a person looks.”

Hate to break it to ‘em, but it’s inevitable. People do judge based on looks. Kids should be encouraged to want to do better, to continually improve themselves, rather than just accepting it as their lot in life. This group’s motto should be, “Fuck it,” with their unrealistic agenda of changing society instead of themselves. (Source)

What the French Know

Eat less, weigh less, it’s not rocket science. (Source)

I get particularly feisty because in the South, ppl don’t hesitate to inform that you “need to put some meat on them bones,” while they, themselves, are fucking rhinoceri.

I eat anything I want, ridiculous shit, but I stop when I’m full. That’s it.

How People Perceive You

An article offers tips on nonverbal cues to advance in a business context - some of this is valid, as I’ve played the corporate game - some of it’s just odd.

  • Wear pastels to imply trustworthiness.
  • Eye contact expectation = 90% in US
  • Wear lower heels for equal footing, literally & figuratively

I personally resent the implications of pastels. To me, it says the individual has playful bunny figurines at home. It’s merely a matter of aesthetics, but I suppose the majority rules. “More tea, Polly Prissypants?”

The eye contact level in America is extreme! It used to wig me the fuck out, but then I realized it was all part of a larger game, control, dominance & submission… As the article points out, it’s all very animalistic.

Besides, when most ppl look at you, they’re thinking about themselves anyway, not you. We are an individualistic & self-absorbed society.

The psychology of high heels… that’s a whole other post, but this article would portray it as a signal of weakness, putting oneself off-balance and at a disadvantage. But they look fierce!!! Some could even double as weapons. Not ideal for long hikes, so there is some reality to the overall concept.

Sexuality & Subconscious

According to this article, arousal is triggered by the subconscious before the brain decodes the desire. In other words, we are not in control of what turns us on, so much as how we react.

Controlling these areas of the brain are “two basic and distinctively operating pathways - one that promotes sexual enthusiasm, another that inhibits it,” likened to a gas pedal and a brake. Everyone drives differently.

Men are not moved by images outside of their own orientation, while women’s test results revealed their desires to be less exclusive.

I get pissed when people suggest that someone can choose to be gay, heterosexual or otherwise. As this article supports, individuals do not determine their own desires so much as whether they repress or pursue it. So, Nyah! ;p

On the opposite end, there are those that claim asexuality. Now that’s *fucking wild. *fucking being an adjective, rather than a verb, in this context. >;)

I Would Rather

I Would Rather

Sometimes this seems a preferable alternative to the bullshit that goes on, though of course it would be self-defeating. For someone as visually-stimulated as myself, this would be ghastly, though sometimes I would rather…

What has me agitated:

Blaming Video Games for Violence

Faith-based regulations passing

Lack of food-safety standards in China snuffing pets

Seeking a positive side… it spawned a painting.

See it larger in the Gallery and nab some Icons of it.

Plastination

Rooster VesselsBallet Dancer

“A process at the interface of the medical discipline of anatomy and modern polymer chemistry, Plastination makes it possible to preserve individual tissues and organs that have been removed from the body of the deceased as well as the entire body itself”

The Bodyworlds exhibit was unreal, spectacular!

Points of Interest:

  • Organs look much smaller plastinated than when soaking in formalin.
  • Everything is so fibrous - Tissue, muscle, tendons, even bones - they look like coral, with tiny pockets when processed this way
  • No ghostly activity, which I was hoping for, considering all of the deceased present. ;)
  • I found the Horse the most compelling out of all. Magnificent creature.

A very sterile installation, all of the souls seem to have long since departed. Logically, if there were to be ghosties, it would center around an area or individual, instead of the body left behind.

Which raises another point, made more readily apparent by this exhibit, that the spark that makes you, you, lies in the energy of the being. How the skin hangs on our bones, how it’s weathered, how we decorate it, the tension in one’s muscles that shape the flesh - the exact same thing that’s missing from CGI - that which departs when we do.

We saw it in Dallas, thanks to Angel of Malevolence! :D Be sure to listen to her station, Redemption Radio where she serves up metal just for you, Ren, for yooou.
