Teacher fired b/c students saw art at a museum

This infuriates me. Livid. What makes it worse, is that it’s in the North Texas area where I am ashamed to live.

The trigger? A 5th grade student on a field trip to the Dallas Museum of Art saw *gasp* a nude sculpture.

One parent complained.

You have to ask yourself where we are headed as a nation. The parents authorized the field trip via permission slips. We see violence everywhere around us and ppl are soiling their undies over uncovered sculptural flesh?!

Don’t get me wrong, I’m down with brutal lowbrow media too, but comparitively speaking on the ol’ pants-shittin’-meter… I see no cause for alarm, other than the heightened level of denial and repression we’re passing onto our kids.

I would love to see a study correlating geographic areas, educational levels, sexual openess vs. the level of violent or sexual crimes in the more ignorant repressed areas. I’m particularly interested in Europe’s statistics, where flesh is not a source of guilt and shame – I imagine the figures would be lower.

Stereotypical

Why did this asshole feel compelled to make a fucking list of scapegoats for retards to blame in his murderous wake?

Ass

I’m sure he knew that ppl would be gazing upon his bullshit in the aftermath. Like Quentin Tarentino or Marilyn Manson want their names tied to this jerk-off in the news. Luckily, the networking site has taken it down, now only the cache remains. I’m compelled to seek this shit out, as I always try to figure out what drives a person to this point, whether it’s innate, environmental or both.

As a result, “the gothic subculture” is being tsked over in the articles, as if there is a direct correlation. I specifically like violent media: horror movies, industrial, metal, gangsta rap, video games; almost exclusively. For me, it gets all of the aggression outta my system, instead of the opposite as it was for this freak. You can’t blame [insert polarizing celebrity or subculture here] b/c some motherfuckers are balls-out nuts! They’d be crazy with or without so-called “influences,” so I don’t see how it’s a factor.

If you have no idea what I’m on about, here’s the news story: (Source)

Stolen Munch Paintings Are Recovered

This pleases me, as I really love Edvard Munch’s work.

Edvard Munch’s paintings “The Scream” and “Madonna,” which two armed robbers yanked from the wall of a museum here in August 2004, were recovered in relatively good condition in Norway today.

One of the stolen works - The Scream

I cannot comprehend the logic (or the logistics) involved, in profiting from something that high-profile. It would have to be sold to a private collector, were they to profit from it in any way. In turn, the collector could share it with no one, lest he be found out and turned in for the $325,000 reward.

Civilian Killings Went Unpunished

I found the below article when reading about recent acts of monstrosity in Iraq.

VIETNAM: THE WAR CRIMES FILES
Declassified papers show U.S. atrocities went far beyond My Lai.

As far as I’m concerned, there are certain acts make someone no longer human and this shit’s it. There’s war, then there’s doing it with gusto.

In cases like these, the punishment should fit the crime and they should suffer the exact fate they inflicted upon another – maybe then they would comprehend what they’ve done.

“Your suffering will be legendary, even in Hell!”
-Pinhead
 Hellraiser, Psalm 2, Hellbound

Of course, the flaw in this plan, is the one delivering the punishment would be a monster by the same logic. A mandated murderer, similar to those administering the death penalty, which I support but not whole-heartedly.

WTF?!

Why? Why is their President (I didn’t vote for him either time, so he’s yours – not mine.) worried about discriminating against humans that deserve equal rights? Why, at this time, is it a priority to even bother with amending the Constitution to ban gay marriage?!

All these people and their so-called morals. Since when can you legislate based on religion? Why, since they put Duh-bya in office, that’s when!

Blasphemy.

Unspeakable… unspeakable.

[Article: This guy sees it too.]
