Behavior Detection Officers

On the recent topic of micro-expressions

“Specially trained security personnel” will be watching passengers for “micro-expressions” that will reveal treacherous agendas and insidious intentions at airports around the country. These agents, who may literally hold your fate in their hands have been given a lofty, Orwellian name: “Behavior Detection Officers.”

Airports are torture for the impatient (me) and are not conducive to mental stability, with existing security lines, switched gates and delays.

How does one discern which pissed-off, anxious fuck trying to find their way is a menace? I’m not in a good way at airports, nor does anyone else appear to be from the behavior I’ve witnessed.

It’s not even a precise science, subject to perception. This is just odd.

Breeding Fatties

“Americans are now among the shortest and fattest people in the industrialized world.” This article attributes it to shortcomings in our healthcare system, but it’s not the system that’s feeding these fat fucks. Unless we have a Se7en scenario, these ppl are shovelling their pie-holes full’a crap voluntarily. (Source)

On the brighter side, according to the theory of assortative mating, fat people dig those of similar girth, so that fat fucks can get laid, married and so on. This leads to another point in this other article, about how fat begets fat - the double-dose of obesity genes are almost certain to dominate their offspring, thereby populating the world with fat ppl and the American epidemic of fat-asses. Additionally, an agenda of “body diversity” is out there, encouraging children to accept themselves as they are, so as not to engage in “looksism - the tendency to perceive social acceptability based upon how a person looks.”

Hate to break it to ‘em, but it’s inevitable. People do judge based on looks. Kids should be encouraged to want to do better, to continually improve themselves, rather than just accepting it as their lot in life. This group’s motto should be, “Fuck it,” with their unrealistic agenda of changing society instead of themselves. (Source)

I Has Two Noses!

Double-Nosed Andean tiger hound
The Double-Nosed Andean tiger hound, Xingu is said to be intelligent and fond of salty biscuits.

“Other dogs snarl at Xingu, because they can sense he’s different. He’s the smallest dog there but he sees the other dogs off,” Colonel Blashford-Snell said.

“He’s very intelligent and with a wonderful sense of smell, as you might think.

They say he “[isn’t] a terribly handsome dog,” but I beg to differ, I think he’s a cutie! I bet he makes sniffy-sounds galore, at twice the power of your average dog! :D

I don’t know that I agree with ongoing breeding to perpetuate the double-nose, especially since the article mentions a majority of double-nosed puppies in one litter dying.

Breeding strikes me as an odd thing to inflict upon animals, especially having experienced it firsthand with my purebred cat. It’s unnatural, as in, this is not how it would transpire in nature, if they were left to their own devices.

While they have the desired traits specific to a breed, they also have increased odds for afflictions, sickness and mental disorders, also specific to that breed - all from the limited gene pool they’re drawing from.

It’s an odd form of genetic racism, inflicted upon animals by humans. I can see why it’s done, as characteristics and personalities vary wildly across breeds, but it’s still weird.

Pro Human Extinction

Based on this article, the Earth would flourish if rid of humans. (Source)

It alludes to this site, the Voluntary Human Extinction Movement, whose tagline is, “May we live long and die out.”

Further solidifying the argument that environmental damage is manmade, Al Gore reveals that conflicting reports on global warming are typically funded by offending polluters.

Gore likened the campaign to the millions of dollars spent by U.S. tobacco companies years ago on creating the appearance of scientific debate on smoking’s harmful effects.

Under the Surface

Angry men are admired in the workplace while volatile women are seen as incompetent, unless she expresses a just cause for her fury. Even then, she’s not viewed nearly as capable as a similarly dispositioned man. (Source)

Reading subtle clues in faces can guide the brain, resulting in unconscious warnings, a new study suggests. I’m convinced this is what creeps me out about many ppl, conflicting micro-expressions, insincerity in general. (Source)
