New Icons - Creepy Fairy Tale Dolls

Available in 50 x 50 pixels and 100 x 100 pixels. Feel free to edit them and do whatever.

A link to my site from yours (site, blog, profile, whatever) would be an excellent way to share your enthusiasm, should you use them.

These are my favorites:

Do Dolls Dream of Stuffed Sheep?

The Burning Eyes of Snow White

Red Riding Hood - Cyclops Crop

These are the same dolls I used in a site layout several years back, involving copious DHTML and differing monochromatic color schemes for each page. I can’t find a screen capture of it.

Optical Illusions & Psychedelic Art

Akiyoshi Kitaoka is amazing! His mastery of color contrast and leading the eye is well worth studying. You will probably recognize some of his works from an email forward going around some time ago, regarding the perception of movement in static images, a.k.a. Optical Art.

Dandelions that look like they are growing.

More & Better:

His site was down when I was researching for my Psychedelic Art Presentation in my History of Communication Graphics course, so enjoy it while it’s there. I imagine he exceeds his allotted bandwidth on a regular basis - that, and the server is in Japan.

Groovin’ fonts contained within presentation were found here, along with an Edvard Munch scream cursor that displays when my laptops’ gears are grinding.

Angry Beavers

WHY isn’t this show available on DVD?

I ♥ Dag

There’s always hope - they are re-airing them on NickToons, so that’s a good sign.

I’m gonna go see what’s doin’ at the Angry Beavers’ page on the Nick website.

Sometimes

I think that we are each alone, even with others present. Hence the everlong struggle to connect, to relate, to find ppl of similar mind. Everyone seeks to fill the void with (pick one or several): another person; work; school; reading; writing; music; drawing; gaming; television; movies; rotting online; imbibing; religion.

It’s Ok. We all have our crutches and I believe they are necessary. I don’t know WTF I’m getting at. Just feeling especially alone today.

Cyclopia

Other than seeing the kitten pictures a while back, which seriously upset me, there are very few cases of this with humans in this modern age:

Pictures | Story

In the comments, some fucktard smugly replies:

“Apparently, some people are willing to care for a child regardless of the difficulties she might have. Not everyone is interested in terminating pregnancies simply because a child might have a difficult life.”

Are they fucking blind? Perhaps they did not see the pictures associated with the article, how decrepid the so-called hospital is. Perhaps they are lacking empathy, for the tortured creature lying on the table, and the life she will face if she lives long enough.

I am amazed that someone would feel this particular article was a GREAT place for their pro-life agenda. Fucknuts.
